Our Story

Pure and Sacred

Our Story

I’m Ahmed — and I didn’t set out to start a myrrh business.

I grew up in Kenya, where myrrh isn’t a product. It’s part of life. It’s burned during prayer, meditation, celebration, and healing. My grandmother used it. Our elders used it. The scent of myrrh drifting through the air meant something sacred was happening.

In our villages, harvesters tapped the trees seasonally, carefully, respectfully — the same way their ancestors had done for generations. Nothing rushed. Nothing wasted. Everything done with intention.

This was never about mass production. It was about connection — to the land, to tradition, and to something far older than ourselves.

When Everything Changed

Years later, when I began meditating regularly, I returned to burning myrrh. Almost instantly, something shifted. The depth. The calm. The grounded clarity. It felt like coming home.

Naturally, I wanted to share that experience with friends.

But when I tried to buy myrrh online, I was shocked.

Most of what I found had been sitting in warehouses for 6 to 18 months. The essential oils had faded. The aroma was dull. The energy – gone. What once felt alive now felt… empty.

It wasn’t the myrrh I remembered.

And I realized: the world wasn’t being offered real myrrh anymore.

Returning to the Source

So I did the only thing that felt right.

I went back to the villages in northern Kenya — to the very harvesters I had known growing up.

Men and women who still walk long distances on foot. Who still climb rugged terrain. Who still tap each tree carefully, season by season, preserving both the forest and their livelihoods.

We formed direct partnerships.

No middlemen.
No mass exporters.
No warehouses.

Just small harvests, fair pay, and deep respect for the land.

Every batch we receive is harvested just weeks before shipping — not months or years. That’s why Sacred Harvests myrrh smells richer, burns cleaner, and carries a depth you can actually feel.

What Makes Sacred Harvests Different

We don’t compete on volume.

We compete on integrity, freshness, and intention.

Every jar of Sacred Harvests myrrh is:

✓ Ethically sourced from villagers in northern Kenya
✓ Harvested in small seasonal batches
✓ Shipped fresh — not stored for months
✓ Fairly compensated at the source
✓ Hand inspected and carefully packed

And most importantly — it is alive.

When you burn it, you’ll notice the difference immediately.

The aroma fills the room.
The smoke feels grounding.
The presence is unmistakable.

This is the myrrh I grew up with.
